Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, has is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager for the Aiken County PSR/LTR Plant.

The Multiple Engineering Specializations position has responsibility for more than one Specialization within their group. A Senior Manager (M4) position typically manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or team leaders. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. This position requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and the ability to communicate and influence executive leadership on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and ensures adoption of short to mid-term strategy/results and execution of functional strategy for the operational direction of the department

  • Oversees continuous improvement/automation implementation activities 

  • Leverages institutional knowledge for strategy development

  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Influences, coaches, and develops direct reports/teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years management or leadership experience

  • Or Master’s degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 4-5 years management or leadership experience
