Systems Administrator

 

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing top quality and safe healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities since 1917. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the American Heart Association for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure and Stroke, and most recently, coronary artery disease.

 

Additionally, Aiken Regional provides comprehensive healthcare services such as behavioral health (Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health), emergency medical care (main hospital and ER at Sweetwater), orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services(Hitchcock Rehabilitation Services), imaging, and wound care.

Position Description:

 

Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems; performs system backups and recovery; maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity; supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN); provides end-user support for WAN and LAN-based applications.

 

Duties:

  • Responsible for the configuration and operation of network hardware and software, including Internet connectivity, routers, switches, hubs and servers.
  • Responsible for instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform computer, printer and other IS related equipment setup and configuration.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects assigned help desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for training IS department personnel to perform troubleshooting and repair of IS related equipment.
  • Relocates and reconfigures computers, printers and other IS related equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:           

  • High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) N+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certifications preferred.
