Summary of Functions
Responsible for the delivery of Four Star/Four Diamond Service while providing NQRC guests with quality experience. The Resort Retail Team Member is responsible for generating sales by providing the guest with exceptional shopping experience. The Resort Retail Team Member maximizes sales by delivering efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store/cafe is neat, clean, and well presented at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and KTEA Franchise Operations Policies and Procedures.
- Develops enthusiastically satisfied guests all of the time.
- Provides quality beverages consistently for all guests.
- Prepares beverages to standards.
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products and areas.
- Correctly perform all necessary paperwork and bookwork at shifts end.
- Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
- Straighten and organize inventory.
- Opening, Shift Change and Closing: Perform cleaning, set-up and breakdown duties as directed by management and position requirements.
- Ensure return merchandise is restored to the correct product location on the sales/cafe floor; all damaged and defective merchandise is properly labeled and placed in appropriate area at the end of each shift.
- Execute efficient and effective handling of all merchandise from shipment processing, floor sets, markdown optimization, and replenishment systems while maintaining backroom standards.
- Proactively resolve guest concerns in a manner consistent with Kalispel Hospitality, and with guest satisfaction in mind, partner with the Resort Retail leadership team on elevated guest issues.
- Ensure inventory control/protection of organizational assets.
- Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels.
- Promote sales and upgrading of items.
- Assists with training of new team members.
- Aware of all promotions and events in Casino.
- Ability to maintain organization of all Resort Retail spaces.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.

Experience
- Three months related experience and/or training are helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working as a barista is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to handle cash and give proper change.
- Must possess excellent guest relations and guest service skills.
- Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
- Good verbal communications.Â

Other Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit.
- Valid Food Handlers Permit.
- Hepatitis A Vaccination.
- Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification
- Available and willing to nights, weekends and holidays as required.
