Summary of Functions:

Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the installation, inspection, repair, maintenance and alteration of Casino food venue equipment and appliances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure quality of facility meets all set standards.
  • Responsible for repairing and maintaining physical structure of establishment.
  • Install, diagnose, inspect, repair, maintain service on a wide variety of kitchen appliances and exhaust hoods.
  • Install, diagnose, inspect, repair, maintain and service a wide variety of heating, ventilation and air condition equipment and systems.
  • Repair and maintain low-pressure hot water systems, minor plumbing, and filtration systems.
  • Replace fans, belts, motors, gaskets, filters, and compressors, and lubricate parts.
  • Adjust and install switches, gauges, thermostats, valves, tubing transformers, pressure regulators controllers, and other parts as needed.
  • De-scale tubing cut and tread pipe to make pipe and electrical connections.
  • Add refrigerants and oil and test defective parts.
  • Determine requirements for parts, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment; establish cost of repairs and equipment replacement.
  • Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair and maintenance of commercial appliances and equipment.
  • Able to work with HVAC contractor and ready their blueprints to make sure we get the equipment needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and orderly condition.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.

Experience

  • Prefer 2 years Commercial appliance service.

Skills & Abilities

  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
  • Ability to diagnose defects and install, repair, and maintain food venue areas, kitchen appliances and equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Standard practices of the HVAC trade and theory of HVAC systems.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with public department heads, associates and the public
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit.
  • HVAC Certification
  • Washington or Idaho State Driver’s License (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle).
  • EPA Refrigerants Certification, Gas License, appliance trade schooling a plus.
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
