A Lead Mechanic performs quality maintenance, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, disassembly, inspections, rebuilds, and reassembly to diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated components and equipment such as engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, electrical codes, etc. all related to mining
equipment such as Jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, dozers, etc. This work includes mobile equipment, hoist, compressors, drills and miscellaneous equipment of a similar nature. The Lead Mechanic will provide supervision, training, guidance and mentoring to other mechanics and less experienced mechanics.
