Job Description

 

The individual in this position will be responsible for the design and execution of studies that monitor biomechanics during dynamic motions and events, including evidence-based prediction of injury risk and/or performance loss.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

The successful candidate will be an expert in collecting and interpreting biomechanics data, and relating how forces (both localized and global) can cause injury. The ability to design experiments to test hypothesis, including the effectiveness of safety equipment, is critical in this role.  The ability to interface and communicate with technical experts, customers, and vendors is critical in this role.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, or related field.  OR M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience

  • 5 years of relevant experience in industry and/or academic 

  • Expertise in Dynamic Testing

  • Experience in Safety System Design

  • Ability to Translate Biomechanical Forces to Predict Injuries

  • Experience in Designing Systems to Mitigate Injuries

  • This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S Citizenship
