Encourage and support participation in community activities, social events, and recreational opportunities. Build meaningful relationships with individuals served, their families, and fellow team members. Implement individualized care plans and help individuals work toward personal goals and greater independence. Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, and community resources. Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues to ensure coordinated, person-centered care. Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or support needs. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Participate in ongoing training to strengthen your skills and advance your career. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating patience, respect, understanding, and empathy.   QualificationsWhat We're Looking For Education High School Diploma or GED required. Additional coursework in Human Services or a related field is a plus. Experience Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Experience in caregiving, direct support, customer service, healthcare, or other helping professions is highly valued. Experience working collaboratively as part of a team. Skills & Qualifications A genuine passion for helping others succeed and thrive. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to follow individualized support plans and maintain accurate documentation. Basic computer skills, including email and online training platforms. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to assist individuals with mobility and daily living activities, including lifting when necessary.
