Civil Engineering Co-op/Intern

We’re seeking motivated Civil Engineering Co-op/Interns to support a variety of infrastructure projects under the supervision of a project manager. This role offers hands-on experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to solve real-world challenges in the design and construction of landfills, bridges, pipelines, dams, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Office Work

  • Generate and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Assemble high-quality project deliverables.
  • Write and edit technical reports
  • Conduct engineering calculations and provide technical support for field activities.

Field Work

  • Perform field tests and site observations
  • Interstate travel in Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana to different work sites.
  • Prepare daily field reports and attend progress meetings.
  • Demonstrate consistent and exemplary safety compliance.
  • Alert project personnel to issues or non-conforming test results.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Eagerness to learn and an enthusiasm for growth.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in diverse teams, including engineers, technicians, and non-technical personnel.
  • Weekend and Overtime hours as necessary.
  • Comfortability with Pickup trucks/large standard vehicles. 
  • Must pass a pre-employment background and drug screening (CTI is a Drug-Free Workplace).
  • Valid REAL ID compliant driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to navigate active construction sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
