Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing shipping and receiving operations, processing Sales Orders and managing the end-to-end flow of materials in support of Driverge’s production environment. This role ensures accurate and timely coordination of inbound and outbound logistics using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (WMS), advanced Excel reporting and analysis, and industry-standard receiving/shipping procedures. The Logistics Coordinator acts as the operational bridge between execution-level tasks and higher-level planning, driving efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, particularly with Forklift Training or Vehicle Inventory.

Essential Job Functions and Duties: 

  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving processes, including the accurate processing of Sales Orders, purchase orders, and transfer orders in Business Central.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring on-time delivery and documentation compliance (Bills of Lading, packing slips, and shipping manifests).
  • Manage material flow by prioritizing and scheduling receipts, staging, and shipments to support production schedules and minimizing downtime.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, data validation, and dashboards) to generate, analyze, and distribute logistics reports, inventory metrics, and performance dashboards from Business Central data.
  • Process and reconcile Sales Orders, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory deductions, and customer/supplier communications.
  • Perform advanced WMS transactions in Business Central, including order releases, inventory adjustments, and shipment confirmations; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly preferred. 
  • Resolve complex logistics issues such as shipment delays, discrepancies, or damaged goods by collaborating with suppliers, carriers, production, and quality teams.
  • Monitor and maintain shipping/receiving accuracy, conducting spot audits and supporting cycle counts to uphold inventory integrity.
  • Develop and maintain logistics documentation, labels, and tracking systems while identifying opportunities for process improvement in material handling and order processing. 
  • Support the Logistics Lead and Technicians by providing guidance on procedures, training on WMS/Excel tools, and escalating systemic issues. 
  • Ownership of the Forklift Training Program.
  • Comply with Driverge’s Core Values (LOVE IT), all warehouse safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and hazardous materials handling requirements.
  • Maintain material handling equipment through oversight of pre-use inspections and coordinate minor repairs as needed.
  • Remove packaging/trash from production and material areas to sustain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing/production environment, with a strong focus on shipping, receiving, and Sales Order processing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated expertise in Excel (data analysis, reporting, and dashboards). 
  • Hands-on experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Able to pass on-site written and driving tests for forklifts or tow motors (if required for occasional support). 
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background checks, as well as pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: 

  • Able to function effectively in a production/warehouse environment, with occasional hands-on support of material movement.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, with frequent walking, standing, and use of standard office/warehouse equipment.
  • Must be able to complete logistics-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching) as needed. 
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside year-round as required for shipping/receiving activities.
  • Participate in required company safety programs, training, and PPE guidelines.
