We deliver a wide range of medical examination-only services to public sectors and the individuals they serve. Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.  About the Role Monterey Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Akron, OH. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality care by conducting medical disability evaluations for Veterans and Separating Military Members, along with occupational health exams such as Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and pre-employment assessments. Responsibilities Perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans. Conduct pre-discharge physical exams for active-duty service members. Provide occupational physicals including DOT exams, pre-employment exams, fit-for-duty exams, and health assessments. Complete thorough documentation and maintain accurate patient records. Educate patients as appropriate. No ongoing treatment or follow-up required. Qualifications Unrestricted State NP license to practice. Certified Medical Examiner (CME) (required for DOT physicals) – training and certification provided if needed. Experience with Compensation & Pension exams preferred, but not required. Competence in performing: Musculoskeletal assessments with range of motion. Pulmonary function test (PFT) interpretation. ECG interpretation. Pelvic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary examinations. Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in clinical settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
