About the Role:
Karing Hands Provider Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Wooster, OH. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and activities
- Encourage client independence and community integration
- Administer medications and follow health and safety protocols as required
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours including evenings or weekends
