Baptist Medical Center Southbank is currently hiring for a Full-time Sr. Buyer to join our Strategic Sourcing team at our Baptist Southbank Location here in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a Full-time, Days Shift opportunity.

Sr. Buyer General Responsibilities: 

  • Manage system contracts pertaining to Capital Equipment purchases.

  • This includes, RFP development, and bid analysis, capital equipment purchases, service / maintenance agreements.

  • Bulk buy opportunities, system transition or conversion of capital equipment.

  • Specify equipment for construction projects based on Department needs and System standards.

  • Keeping system equipment specifications current

  • Manages equipment budget for projects, confirming spend aligns with budget.

  • Review Capital Requisitions to confirm purchases are the current system standards, contracted pricing, and requisitions completed correctly to flow through the ERP system.

  • Position requires extensive knowledge of procurement and contracting processes with demonstrated skills in the areas of communication, project management, and managing multiple priorities.

Education & Credential Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
