A caregiver in this position works nights from 11:00PM – 7:30AM, including every other weekend and holiday.Â
Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â
Clean floors, windowsills, banisters, stairways, lounges, lobby and admitting areas, locker rooms, meeting rooms, doctor’s quarters, solarium, corridors and emergency room.Â
Strip, scrub and refinish floors. Â
Extract, shampoo and bonnet carpets. Â
Wash walls, ceilings, lights, windows, casings, cabinets and closets. Â
Operate automated floor maintenance equipment, floor scrubbers, floor strippers, rotary low- and high-speed floor machines, vacuums and detail equipment. Â
Move furniture, replace windows and draw drapes and shades. Â
Answer calls for spills, floods, etc. Â
Use and maintain office sweeping tools, mops, wringers, soaps, cleansers and other cleaning equipment. Â
Pull trash, infectious waste and needles. Â
Transport objects, including office equipment, projectors, blackboards, microphones and other equipment to meeting rooms. Â
Clean and wash contaminated rooms. Â

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
Ability to communicate effectivelyÂ
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Â
Â
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
High School Diploma or GEDÂ
Six months of housekeeping or floor care experienceÂ
​Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 75 pounds. Willingness and ability to move and climb ladders and/or scaffolding and to stand more than three-fourths of a shift.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
