Janitorial / Forklift Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitorial / Forklift Operator to join our team in Akron, OH. This position combines industrial cleaning responsibilities with forklift operation and requires candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with extensive walking throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain facility floors using:
  • Vacuums
  • Carpet shampoo machines
  • Floor polishers/buffers
  • Hand mops and other cleaning equipment
• Operate a forklift (tow motor) regularly to:
  • Empty chip hoppers
  • Remove trash and waste containers
  • Transport materials as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently and accurately
• Perform general housekeeping duties within the industrial environment

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred
• Experience operating forklifts/tow motors preferred
• Experience using industrial floor cleaning equipment, including buffers and polishers, is ideal
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace cleanliness
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks as needed
