Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Customer Service in Alabaster, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team. This armed role requires an Armed Guard Card/License and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through integrity and teamwork.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, emergency department areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and restricted-area protocols while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation for incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
