Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity, assisting with visitor direction, credential checks, and restricted area enforcement as directed by site policies.
• Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable observations, and communicate with local management, staff, and first responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
