This is an operations position responsible for assisting in and overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with general maintenance and repair of the facility, automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, minor repair of electrical devices, plumbing, fleet shop, and security. Responsibilities include adherence to work safety policies, knowledge of electrical controls and OSHA standards, electrical meter testing, PLC troubleshooting, welding projects, general building maintenance, scheduled preventative maintenance and repair activities, logging time and materials into CMMS, refrigeration operator duties, participation in on-call program, tool and equipment maintenance, emergency response, safety compliance, and effective interaction within the department. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, preferred facility maintenance tech school, four years of industrial facility and ASRS maintenance experience or equivalent, preferred Refrigeration Operator I/RETA CARO certification, ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations, valid state Driver’s License, defensive driving program completion, and certifications such as Powered Industrial Equipment Certification and preferred electrical and refrigeration training. Physical demands involve talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Work environment includes exposure to various weather conditions, mechanical parts, confined spaces, non-traditional hours, travel, and moderate noise levels.
