RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, develop, and coach the team; manage daily execution of PO placement, expediting, and issue resolution while maintaining a strategic focus on supplier performance and savings
  • Lead and manage team performance through goal setting, coaching, and feedback; ensure consistent execution of sourcing events, supplier scorecards/QBRs, and savings governance 
  • Review and approve high-risk or high-spend award decisions and ensure alignment with Quality, Engineering, and Operations
  • Lead and manage category strategies for top direct material families and key suppliers; oversee supplier segmentation, playbooks, and multi-sourcing plans where risk and qualification requirements allow 
  • Maintain performance review cadence, and manage escalation and corrective action processes with clear accountability for issue resolution
  • Lead and manage standardization of RFQ/RFP processes, bid leveling, award documentation, and contract templates; ensure commercial terms protect supply assurance and change control 
  • Maintain governance of purchasing master data accuracy and implement audits and controls to reduce shortages and invoice discrepancies
  • Lead and manage annual performance targets for savings, PPV improvement, supplier on-time delivery, quality, and reduction of expedites/past dues; validate savings using agreed methodologies. Drive cost reduction initiatives focused on total cost of ownership
  • Lead and manage cross-functional alignment with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Operations; ensure forecast alignment, qualification timelines, and supply risk mitigation. Train requestors on purchasing standards and enforce requisition quality
  • Lead and manage sourcing support for new product development from concept through launch; ensure supplier selection, lead time feasibility, and cost targets are integrated into project plans 
  • Coordinate supplier technical reviews and ensure readiness for validation, scale-up, documentation, and change control requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area

Experience

  • 6 to 8 years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or supplier management experience, including direct materials procurement in a regulated manufacturing environment. 
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • *Additional experience may substitute for education requirement

  • Frequent (>75%) stationary position (standing or sitting) while utilizing digital displays
  • Frequent (>75% fine manipulation using hands and fingers (typing, opening, writing, clicking, paper sorting, etc.)

  • Onsite: Office environment with assigned workstation
  • Remote positions only: Home office environment with minimum distractions
