Your Mission

As Quality Manager, you will lead and evolve the quality function for our rotary blasthole drill assembly operation, reporting to the VP Supply Chain & Operations. You’ll play a key leadership role in strengthening product quality, driving operational excellence, and building a high-performing quality organization.

This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role with direct influence on product reliability, supplier partnerships, and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of quality professionals, building capability, ownership, and engagement

  • Drive quality performance across incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities

  • Strengthen supplier quality through qualification, performance management, and corrective actions

  • Lead structured problem-solving initiatives (8D, root cause analysis) to reduce defects and cost of poor quality

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and Sandvik’s Quality Management System

  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve process capability and product performance

  • Monitor and act on key metrics such as FPY, COPQ, supplier PPM, rework, and warranty trends

  • Support quality standards across fabrication, welding, machining, and final assembly.​

About You

You are a hands-on leader who combines technical depth with the ability to engage teams and drive results. You thrive in a complex manufacturing environment and bring a continuous improvement mindset.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality within heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial environments

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams

  • Strong experience with complex mechanical assemblies, hydraulics, electrical systems, and structural weldments

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional problem solving and deliver measurable improvements

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship on an indefinite basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business

  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM)

  • Six Sigma certification

Key Skills

  • Data-driven decision making (Excel, Power BI or similar tools)

  • Root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)

  • Metrology and inspection systems

  • Knowledge of welding standards (AWS/ASME)​
