Utility Technician

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and working with your hands? Join our team as a Utility Technician and help maintain the water, wastewater, drainage systems, facilities, and grounds that support our community.

What You'll Do

Perform maintenance and repairs on water, wastewater, and drainage facilities.
Complete routine inspections and assist with repairs.
Maintain grounds through landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weed control, and general lawn care.
Perform facility maintenance, including painting, pressure washing, cleaning, and minor building repairs.
Assist with excavation, shoveling, and site cleanup.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
Support emergency response activities as needed.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Ability to safely use tools and equipment, including jackhammers and concrete saws.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and around water and wastewater facilities.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift 50-80 pounds.
Walk, climb, bend, and work in physically demanding environments.
Access confined spaces and use ladders when needed.
