Project/Contract Manager
1 year (with anticipation to extend)
Remote with 15% travel (would ideally prefer someone in Albany or NYC area for onsite meetings etc.)

Division: Large-Scale Renewables
We are seeking to hire a Project/Contract Manager to help coordinate and manage programmatic, administrative, and contract compliance documentation and tasks and engage across the Authority and with external parties, as necessary, to ensure contract compliance.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Experience developing, organizing, and managing critical path documentation, including compliance documentation and other deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task, track and follow-up on action items and task progress, remove, mitigate and/or facilitate resolution to roadblocks
  • Ability to review, draft and interpret contracts
  • Familiar with RFP development, bid processes, bid evaluation
  • Ability to manage budgets, expenditures and contracting processes
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive and take initiative
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint (especially Excel)
  • B.S and 7-10 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in government or working with government, highly preferred
  • Familiar with typical project management tools to monitor contract compliance (requirements matrix etc.)
  • Familiar with Renewable Energy Credits
  • Experience with software development life cycle
  • MS Project, Visio
  • Certified PMP, preferred

Responsibilities:
  1. Prep, coordinate, and attend monthly project (and other) meetings, develop draft minutes, monitor and update action items/tracking tools
  2. Maintain document repositories, including records and permissions for SharePoint and Salesforce sites
  3. Serve as a point of contract for internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues as needed
  4. Work closely with other functional departments (energy analysis, legal, information technology, and finance) to implement contract actions
  5. Prepare administrative materials as necessary to adhere with processes and policies, then monitor progress to completion
  6. Draft internal and external process documentation, develop and maintain data gathering tools and templates, coordinate contractors as needed
  7. Prepare briefing materials, talking points and participate in internal and external project meetings
  8. Develop and monitor appropriate project metrics to identify risk and compliance
  9. Generate charts, tables and tools as necessary to quickly convey project status to executives and others, internally and externally
  10. Establish and maintain program budget tracking
  11. Support, when needed, development of a software platform
