Job DetailsJob Location: Northwest Branch - Albany, OR 97321Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 HourlyGENERAL DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, forklift operators are responsible for safely moving materials, products, and shipments within the warehouse and loading/unloading trucks at the shipping/receiving docks. Operators are cross trained to support various warehouse operations as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Operate forklifts (stand-up, sit-down) and electric pallet jacks to move materials on/off pallets, loading platforms, and delivery trucks. Load and unload deliveries manually as needed, organize stock, rotate inventory, and maintain accurate product placement. Wrap and secure material loads while keeping work aisles clean and organized. Perform daily equipment inspections using VSI checklists and report any issues to management. Support other warehouse operations, including packaging, shipping, receiving, inventory control, refrigeration duties, and order selection. Use scanners, tools, and equipment as required to complete tasks efficiently. Ensure compliance with VSI safety rules, OSHA standards, and forklift operation procedures. Work overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed (night shift differential provided). Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and relationships with co-workers, management, vendors, and customers. Participate in mandatory meetings and support special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent GED. One (1) or more years of forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred. OSHA forklift certification required; must maintain current certification. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals). Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record if operating a company or personal vehicle for work-related tasks. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequently lift, push, or move items up to 75 lbs; operate equipment moving pallets weighing up to 2,000+ lbs. Required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Use hands, vision, hearing, and speech to complete daily tasks. Work in moderate to high noise levels; warehouse temperatures may vary.
