Learn more at www.aquatech.com.   Aquatech immediately needs a full-time OARO Element Processing Technician to work in our Albany, Oregon office. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, additional hours as needed.  Job Summary: The OARO Element Processing Technician is responsible for processing, preserving, and packaging OARO elements in accordance with production, quality, and safety requirements. This role also supports the production of FO spiral elements and FO membrane, including material preparation, assembly assistance, defect monitoring, equipment cleaning, and downstream processing. The position requires precise chemical measurement, serial number tracking, material organization, and safe handling of materials using overhead hoists and vacuum sealing equipment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and capable of performing hands‑on tasks in a high‑mobility manufacturing environment. Job Description: OARO Element Processing & Handling Process OARO elements according to established work instructions and quality standards Measure and apply chemicals accurately as required for OARO element processing and preservation Perform visual and functional inspections to verify OARO element condition throughout processing Preserve OARO elements using approved methods to maintain integrity and prevent damage Document processing steps, measurements, and serial number data accurately FO Spiral Element Production Support Prepare materials and components required for FO spiral element assembly Organize, stage, and verify materials prior to assembly activities Assist in the assembly of FO spiral elements by supporting operators according to work instructions Participate in post‑assembly and further processing steps, including handling, inspection, and packaging Ensure FO spiral elements are properly identified, labeled, and tracked throughout production FO Membrane Production Support Assist in the production of FO membrane by supporting operators on the production line Monitor the membrane production line for defects and irregularities and mark defects according to established procedures Move and stage rolls of membrane during and after production using approved material‑handling methods Assist with equipment disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly in accordance with standard operating procedures Support changeovers, shutdowns, and start‑ups by preparing tools, materials, and work areas Material Organization & Traceability Organize raw materials and finished OARO elements, FO spiral elements, and FO membrane by serial number or batch for full traceability Label, stage, and move materials according to production schedules Maintain accurate records for element and membrane tracking and inventory control Identify and report discrepancies in materials, serial numbers, or documentation Equipment Operation Safely operate an overhead hoist to lift, position, and preserve OARO and FO spiral elements Operate vacuum sealing equipment to package elements and materials for storage or shipment Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns Follow all lockout/tagout, lifting, and equipment safety procedures Additional duties as assigned Skill Requirements: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Safety awareness and compliance Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination Time management and task prioritization Dependability and professionalism Effective communication within a production team Benefits: Aquatech offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, company-paid holidays, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility) Physical Job Demands: Manufacturing/production floor environment Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and continuous use of hands while moving Ability to safely guide, stabilize, and position OARO and FO spiral elements using an overhead hoist Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to move and handle membrane rolls as required by the process Exposure to chemicals, moving equipment, and industrial noise levels Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) QualificationsRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to accurately measure chemicals and materials using scales and measuring devices Ability to read and follow work instructions, serial number systems, and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or membrane/element processing Experience working with chemicals in an industrial or manufacturing setting Experience supporting assembly or production line operations Experience operating overhead hoists or material handling equipment Prior experience with vacuum sealing, roll handling, or industrial cleaning procedures
