What You'll Do
As a Collections Representative, you'll help members navigate financial challenges while protecting the financial health of the credit union. You'll be responsible for managing delinquent accounts and finding solutions that benefit both our members and the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Contacting members regarding delinquent accounts and working toward successful resolution
Managing consumer loan, credit card, negative share, and small commercial collection accounts
Maintaining accurate collection records and documentation
Applying state and federal regulations related to collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossessions, and consumer protection
Partnering with attorneys, repossession vendors, and external collection agencies when appropriate
Making recommendations regarding repossessions, charge-offs, and collection strategies
Delivering exceptional member service while meeting performance and quality goals
Supporting department reporting and operational initiatives

What You'll Bring
Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of collections, customer service, call center, banking, or related experience preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to navigate challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
In addition to your hourly pay, you'll have the opportunity to earn monthly performance incentives, significantly increasing your earning potential.
