Job description:

Destination Kia in Albany, NY is seeking a full-time Parts Counterperson to join our team... Compensation is a combination of a weekly salary and monthly bonus. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy parts department of a family-owned business, with plenty of room for growth.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assisting customers and technicians in the selection of required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
Informing customer and selling companion part requirements and specials.
Answering phone calls to provide quotes and customer inquiries.
Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
Setting up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up with a a great degree of accuracy..
Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
Replenishing and tracking inventory.
Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.
Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
Keeping current on new products and product updates.
Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in an automotive parts department
1-3 years of sales experience preferred
Excellent communication skills and great telephone etiquette
Valid driver's license in good standing
Detail Orientated, able to Read and Enter codes into the Computer
Proficient in Automotive/Parts Software systems is highly desired.
