Reports To: Day Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt
Wage: $20.50
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: Start time is 5:30AM year-round, with a varying end time. 

Occasionally changes to work schedule may occur due to production or training needs.

About the Role

Processing Operator 2 will be responsible for cooking pasta per standard operating procedures to ensure quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Learn and follow all MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs.
• Always Comply with all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Set up, sanitize, wash down, and break down machinery per standard operating procedures.
• Accurately and safely follow procedures to set-up and operate all pasta cooking equipment.
• Monitor the cooking process to ensure that all settings remain properly adjusted and pasta is cooked correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 
• Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
• Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
• Ability to lift and/or carry occasionally up to 50 pounds. 

Who You'll Work With

You'll be part of a collaborative operations team focused on producing safe, high-quality products. You'll report to the Day Supervisor and work closely with Team Leaders and cross-functional departments to keep production running efficiently.

This role requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (occasionally lifting of up to 50 pounds). Employees must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in production areas.

Work Environment

This position is based in a food manufacturing facility where employees may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, moving machinery, cleaning chemicals, airborne particles, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels. PPE is required in all production areas.
