The Processing Operator 1 Team Lead-2nd Shift will be responsible for learning and performing various jobs as a Team Leader and learning the recipes/ equipment, etc. in all the areas listed. They will ensure products are made with the highest quality possible.

What You’ll Do

As our Retorts Team Lead, you’ll:

  • Know and supervise all 2nd shift activities: retort and cabbage.
  • Supervise all set-up and start-up operations. 
  • Ensure all 2nd shift personnel are properly instructed on how to perform their duties. Once trained, make sure that they continue to work efficiently. 
  • Ensure appropriate documents for all operations are filled out and distributed appropriately.
  • Know, follow, and enforce HACCP, SQF, Food and Safety programs and safety procedures.
  • Verify that machinery is running efficiently.
  • Inform appropriate people of any problems experienced. 
  • Manage personnel involved with processing.

 What You Bring to the Table

  • Safety conscious
  • Must have good recording skills and a sense for detail.
  • Familiar with or able to learn computer displays and readouts.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a forklift and pallet jack license.
  • The person should be able to lift and move moderately heavy trays(40lbs) and racks.
  • When processing lines are not running will be doing various miscellaneous jobs on the lines.
  • Ability to apply common reasoning and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Capable of working through problem solving situations for the betterment of the situation. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to speak, read and understand English.
