Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Asset Reliability & Performance Analysis

  • Perform detailed equipment performance analysis using CMMS/EAM data, condition monitoring results, and failure histories.

  • Develop and maintain asset health models, reliability KPIs, and performance dashboards.

  • Conduct Weibull and statistical analyses to predict failure behavior and optimize maintenance strategies.

Failure Analysis & RCA

  • Lead technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, chronic losses, and defect elimination initiatives.

  • Apply structured methodologies such as 5-Why, Fault Tree Analysis, Change Analysis, and FMEA.

  • Validate root cause hypotheses using data, inspection results, and equipment behavior trends.

Maintenance Strategy Development

  • Build and optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) strategies using RCM principles, P-F interval understanding, and failure mode mapping.

  • Ensure PM tasks align with failure modes and add measurable value to asset performance.

  • Support PM optimization efforts and adjust task frequencies using data-driven insights.

Engineering Support & Capital Projects

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to resolve chronic equipment issues and implement design improvements.

  • Provide reliability input into equipment specifications, new equipment commissioning, and lifecycle planning.

  • Evaluate capital projects for long-term reliability impact and total cost of ownership.

Work Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with maintenance planning and scheduling to ensure accurate work scoping, priority determination, and backlog quality.

  • Analyze work management system data to identify systemic issues and opportunities for standardization.

  • Drive improvements in MTTF, MTTR, OEE, and maintenance cost effectiveness.

  • Other duties as required by management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, electrical systems, and/or control systems.
