Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing all facets of procurement, ensuring material availability to support all areas of an Ethanol production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchases complex/critical goods and materials.

  • Issues PO’s, manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns or quality problems with suppliers.

  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability of products; proactively find solutions, resources for supply shortages and communicate effectively to teams.

  • Responsible for exploring new products, materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.

  • Establish procedures and maintains inventory levels.

  • Collaborate with other plant procurement departments to optimize inventory levels to manage working capital.

  • Plant resource to provide training and support to department personnel on company purchasing policies, procedures, and systems.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience required

  • Inventory and warehousing management experience preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a 24x7 Ethanol production facility.   

  • This position involves frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions, dust, fumes, and noise.

  • Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently; some work performed in heights.
