- Lovelace Women’s Hospital has 120 licensed beds, including a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.
- The nurse director is a professional registered nurse with twenty-four-hour responsibility for assigned departments within established standards to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.
- The nursing director is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit/departments and executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- The nurse director provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff.
- The nurse director is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement strategies for improvement.
- The nurse director is a change agent and will establish strong collaborative relationships with physicians.
- Responsible for overall administrative, financial, and clinical activities of assigned departments.
Job Requirements:Â
Bachelors in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Effective 9/1/19 if applicant does not have a BSN – must be enrolled in accredited BSN program with scheduled date of completion.
Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of five (or 3-5) years’ clinical nursing experience of which 3 (or 2) years must have been in management capacity.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in nursing and/or related field
Certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration
