About the Role:
We are seeking a seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented HR Manager Assistant & Accounting Support professional to support the company's Human Resources and accounting functions. This position will work closely with the HR Manager to assist with recruiting, employee records, benefits administration, onboarding, compliance, and other day-to-day HR activities. The position will also provide bookkeeping and administrative support to the company's accountant, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable handling confidential information, attentive to detail, and capable of managing responsibilities across both HR and accounting functions in a growing small- business environment.

Human Resources Support


• Assist the HR Manager with daily HR administration and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Support recruiting, including job postings, application review, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
• Coordinate new-hire onboarding and employee offboarding.
• Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and HRIS records.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee questions.
• Support payroll administration by maintaining employee, timekeeping, and leave records.
• Assist with performance reviews, employee training, and maintaining related records.
• Respond to routine HR questions and escalate sensitive or complex issues as appropriate.
• Assist with employee communications, HR reports, and compliance activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee, compensation, and company information.
• Support initiatives that promote a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace.


Bookkeeping and Accounting Support


• Provide daily bookkeeping and administrative support to the accountant.
• Assist with accounts payable, including invoice entry, documentation, and payment processing.
• Assist with accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment recording, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Enter and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial records, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with employee expense reports and reimbursements.
• Gather and verify payroll information in coordination with HR and accounting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with documentation for audits, tax preparation, government contracts, and compliance requirements.
• Respond to routine vendor and employee questions regarding invoices, payments, and reimbursements.
• Identify and report discrepancies to the accountant.
• Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned.




Requirements

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience may be substituted for formal education.

• Prior administrative experience in Human Resources, bookkeeping, accounting, office management, or a related business function is preferred.

• Experience supporting both HR and accounting functions in a small-business environment is highly desirable.
