Job Summary: 

The Facilities Lead is responsible for overseeing facility-related tasks, maintenance, and projects to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. This role coordinates with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support facility operations, safety, and compliance while ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Facility Operations & Maintenance: 

  • Oversee facility maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address facility needs.
  • Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize disruptions.

 

Project & Task Coordination: 

  • Lead the execution of facility projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize facility-related improvements.
  • Track progress of facility tasks and provide updates to leadership as needed.

 

Vendor & Contractor Coordination: 

  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure proper execution of maintenance and repair work.
  • Assist with reviewing contracts, service agreements, and ensuring vendor compliance with company policies.
  • Schedule and oversee vendor work to minimize operational disruptions.

 

Safety & Compliance: 

  • Ensure facility operations comply with OSHA, fire codes, and other safety regulations.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts and ensure necessary safety measures are in place.
  • Conduct safety checks and report any concerns to leadership for corrective action.

 

Space Planning & Workplace Support: 

  • Assist with office layout changes, workspace modifications, and furniture installations.
  • Support office moves and facility adjustments to align with business needs.
  • Ensure facility resources are well-maintained and accessible to employees. 


Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in facilities coordination, building maintenance, or a related field
  • Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Minimum Skills Required:
  • Experience overseeing facility projects and working with vendors
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and maintenance best practices. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks efficiently. 
  •  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and internal teams. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and emergency preparedness.
  • Familiarity with building codes, OSHA requirements, and facility compliance.
  • Budgeting or cost-tracking experience related to facility operations.
  • Certifications such as Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) are a plus.


Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • May be required to respond to emergencies outside of regular work hours.

Work Schedule: 

This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required depending on operational needs.
