Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and highly qualifiedLead Psychologist to support a federal contract program focused on workforce reliability, readiness, and psychological fitness. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned clinical psychologist to apply advanced assessment and evaluation skills in a highly professional environment where sound clinical judgment and leadership are essential.


The Lead Designated Psychologist serves as a key advisor to medical leadership, providing psychological evaluations, consultation services, technical oversight, and program guidance. This position requires expertise in psychological assessment, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.


Duties:

  • Conduct and oversee psychological evaluations to determine fitness for duty and suitability for safety-sensitive positions.
  • Provide consultation and mental health support related to workplace incidents, critical events, and operational needs.
  • Review and approve psychological evaluation reports to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with program standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for other psychologists participating in the program.
  • Provide technical oversight of psychological testing, assessment administration, and evaluation processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute program guidance and evaluation standards to ensure consistency across providers.
  • Collaborate closely with medical leadership and multidisciplinary teams to support workforce health, safety, and performance.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, peer reviews, and program improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the psychology program at professional meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of evaluations and recommendations.

Requirements

 Education:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Completion of a one-year clinical internship approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) or an equivalent program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of postdoctoral clinical experience.
  • Significant experience in psychological assessment, psychological testing, and clinical evaluations.
  • Strong report-writing skills and experience providing fitness-for-duty or occupational psychological evaluations preferred.

Licensure:

  • Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice Clinical Psychology in the state where services will be provided.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain any required federal security clearances and site access authorizations.
  • Ability to meet all federal contract requirements and credentialing standards.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting federal agencies, government contractors, military populations, law enforcement, first responders, or other high-reliability organizations.
  • Experience conducting fitness-for-duty, personnel reliability, or occupational psychological evaluations.
  • Leadership experience overseeing clinical quality assurance, peer review, and program development initiatives.
  • Top secret clearance, or eligibility for clearance
