Material Handler – Pallet Assembler
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Department: LETEM Recycling ABQ
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Summary/Objective
The Material Handler position main function is to repair wooden pallets to desired specs.
Essential Functions
- Utilizing a nail gun to assemble wooden components to create wooden pallet.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions using a crowbar and handsaw.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks:
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day
- Able and willing to work in an outdoor environment.
- Able to bend and lift for 8+ hours a day.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent directives.
