Lifestyle Compounding, LLC is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in our Albuquerque office. The Pharmacy Technician will perform functions related to the compounding pharmacy. This role requires professional judgment and extensive technical training.

The ideal candidate should be able to display exceptional customer service skills. He/she must display compassion and understanding in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare prescriptions –  Prepare medications, sterile and non-sterile drug compounding, including mixing, measuring, and labeling medications, as prescribed by physicians, under the guidance of the acting Pharmacist. Under the direction of Pharmacists, remove unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepare for return or disposal. Order, receive, and maintain the inventory to maintain tight security at all times. 
  • Provide administrative support – Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the pharmacy stock and supply area.  Enter orders, prescriptions, purchase orders, stock, and disbursements into the computer system, shipping and receiving. Generate orders for drugs and supplies with the guidance from the Pharmacist. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma (preferred) or GED certificate
  • Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program
  • Active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred
  • Previous experience compounding sterile pharmaceuticals preferred
  • Sterile certification a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Outgoing and friendly
  • Must pass 5 panel drug screening
  • Must pass background check
