Press Pack Operator
We are hiring two employees for the first shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and two additional employees for the second shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM).
Please note that training for all four positions will take place during the first shift. Once the training period is complete, the employees hired for the second shift will transition to their regular second-shift schedule.
Job Summary:
Safely and efficiently Pack Stamped and ensure only Quality parts are being packed off the press line and learning from the Press Operator. The primary focus is Safety, Quality, and efficient production techniques by utilizing Array's standards and procedures. Maintaining a continuous Improvement attitude with a willingness to adopt new ideas/skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- 5-S as a PRIORITY - Keep station clean and orderly.
- Pack stampings in designated containers, with the correct quantity,
- Assist in Changeover & Set-up of stamping dies and presses.Â
- Visual audit inspection of parts for quality before packing.
- Ensure the correct parts are being packed.
- Follow Containment procedures in the event of contaminated product.
- Production tagging/labeling to maintain inventory accuracies.
- Escalate problems according to the escalation procedure.
- Assist in coil changes.
- Report on all Quality, Production or Safety problems to the production supervisor.
- Perform & maintain 5-S Standards in area of responsibility.
- Assist in Performing Preventive Maintenance activities as required.
- Write & follow up on Work Orders as needed for repairs in assigned area.
- Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. Continuous Improvement Plan & Performance Award Program).
- Available for overtime as required.
- Operate the Crane to assist in Coil Changes.
- Operator Forklift to assist in material handling as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Prefer 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED – Minimum.
- Demonstrated basic math skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints.
- Assist in conducting basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required.
- Ability to use measurement instruments: calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc.
- Accountable - Teachable – Approachable.
- Ability to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:
- Lifting requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. to 37 inches high.
- Vertical Lift requirements:Â Ability to lift up to 42 lbs. to 52 inches high.
- Carry requirements: Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.
- Work environment is fast paced, and the noise and temperature levels can vary. Â
Safety:
- If your role requires the wearing of steel-toed boots, the company will reimburse employees $125 per pair every year.
- If your role requires the wearing of prescription safety glasses, the company will reimburse employees $200 every two years.
- Array operates under strict guidelines and safety standards. Ear protection, hard hats, and standard non-prescription safety glasses are provided by the company.
- Ensure the use of Safety Blocks.
- Ensure all employees follow the safety policy.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Follow the lockout/tagout procedure.
- Keep all safety curtain/guards in place during operation.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Must pass a background check.
- We do require you to complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) to make sure you are physically capable of performing the work. This must be completed prior to starting.
