What You'll Do:

  • Prioritize eye-related emergencies by assessing patient symptoms to clarify the responsibilities and expectations
  • Initiate and manage prior authorizations, advocating for patients & supporting physician- designed treatment plans to preserve vision
  • Identify prescription refill needs and collaborate closely with physicians to manage clinical patient care 
  • Ensure accurate and efficient documentation in the EMR while effectively coordinating patient care 
  • Apply quick & critical thinking in evaluating symptoms, medical history, and patient circumstances in real time 

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • COA certification required within 90 days of hire (Tech Triage I)
  • Experience in ophthalmic subspecialties and scribing preferred
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
  • Must complete required LMS training annually
