Warehouse Distribution Center Associate - Receiving


The Opportunity: 

As a Warehouse Receiving Associate you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming inventory. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring product quality, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment. 


What You'll Do:

  • Process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Respond promptly to inquiries by phone and email from other teams.
  • Track inventory using SAP 
  • Multi-task job functions, including receiving, dock duties, administrative tasks, and assisting other teams to meet customer needs  
  • Work in a dynamic team environment and make decisions as a group 
  • Communicate effectively, clearly, and consistently with receiving team 

What You'll Need:

  • One year or more of warehouse experience with preference given to individuals with receiving experience  
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and self-management skills  
  • Strong attention to detail, research and problem-solving skills 
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, including Outlook; SAP experience a plus).
  • Ability to consistently meet accuracy and productivity standards 
  • Exceptional attendance and a strong bias to action. 
  • Ability to work successfully within a team
  • See mistakes as learning opportunities
  • Be open to constructive feedback and discussion aimed at learning and improving


Environment:

  • Rio Grande is a Metal-Free environment within our operations areas. 

Schedule/Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, bend, stoop, lift, reach, twist, and walk regularly throughout your shift  
  • Work an 8-hour shift between 7 am – 7 pm, Monday – Friday. 
  • Lift 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally throughout each day
