The Housekeeper is responsible for creating a positive and lasting first impression for guests by delivering exceptional hospitality through the cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas. This position ensures all assigned areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards by performing duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, disinfecting, deodorizing, making beds, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas, replenishing amenities, and properly handling linens and waste. The Housekeeper develops positive relationships with guests through courteous and professional interactions, responds promptly to guest requests and complaints, reports maintenance concerns, practices proper key control and safety procedures, and maintains a clean, organized housekeeping cart and work area. This position requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining flexibility, professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to teamwork and guest satisfaction. The Housekeeper must perform room self-inspections, report lost and found items, support service recovery efforts, maintain records when required, and assist with additional duties as assigned. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, along with previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, hospital, or casino environment. The role requires operation of housekeeping equipment including carpet extractors, spot extractors, wet/dry vacuums, and standard vacuums. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds or more, as well as the ability to solve problems and work independently. The work environment is primarily indoors with exposure to loud noise, temperature variations, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and requires successful completion of a Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
