Position Overview
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department to ensure operational efficiency. They will support department management through a variety of tasks related to screening and onboarding. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for handling confidential and time sensitive material while familiarizing themselves with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures. They must display effective communication skills via phone call and email to ensure the accurate and timely communication of information while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
 Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Greet guests at the front door, direct to the appropriate department and assist employees as needed
- Prepare and update employment records relating to screening, onboarding and hiring
- Input candidate information into various service providers for drug testing and background reportsÂ
- Maintain office supplies inventory, check stock to determine inventory levels; anticipate needed supplies; place orders for supplies and expedite as needed while verifying receipt of purchases
- Juggle multiple tasks/projects and carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Coordinate scheduling of various raining such as CPR classes and new team member orientation
- Answer telephone calls and transfer to the appropriate personnel, reply to emails, or face-to-face inquiries for potential candidates being screened
- Resolve potential administrative issues or concerns pertaining to screening and onboarding
- Receive, sort and distribute mail throughout the C.O.R.E Office to the respected department
QualificationsÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferredÂ
- Human Resources experience is a plus
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABC and GymSales
- Display of time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skillsÂ
- Attentive to detail, organization and effective problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds
- Must be able to perform the following tasks: jump, run, walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read and write
