Cedar Park Med is seeking an experienced Pediatric Dentist to provide high-quality dental care to children in clinical and community-based settings in the Albuquerque area. This role is a strong fit for providers who are confident clinically and skilled at creating a calm, child-friendly experience.

Schedule/Shift

  • Part-Time | 27 hours/week

Required Qualifications:

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental program

  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dental Residency

  • Active dental license (any U.S. state or territory)

  • Current BLS certification

  • Experience treating pediatric patients, including behavior/anxiety management

  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and professionalism

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pediatric dental services in clinic and community locations (homes, schools, clinics, job sites, outreach sites, and other community locations)

  • Perform diagnostic services using history, radiographs, clinical examinations, diagnostic models, and other appropriate tests

  • Deliver preventative care including fluoridation, silver diamine fluoride, sealants, and space maintenance

  • Provide restorative care (routine and complex), including use of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as appropriate

  • Use effective pediatric behavior management techniques and child-friendly approaches to reduce anxiety and fear

  • Respond to emergency dental needs including trauma, pain, and infection

  • Perform extractions and pulpal therapy (pulpotomies and pulpectomies)

  • Educate children and parents/guardians on oral hygiene practices and dietary habits

  • Follow the statement of work and accept work assignments from the Clinical Director as needed

  • Obtain consultative services in other specialty areas when cases require a team approach
