Description

As a Personal Trainer at Texas Health Fitness Center, you will help members and guests transform their lives through personalized fitness education, safe and effective exercise programming, and an exceptional training experience. Your career will focus on maximizing both your personal growth and your clients' performance through continued development in programming, consultations, nutrition fundamentals, biomechanics, client retention, and overall service delivery.


With the support of your manager and teammates, you will be held accountable for growing your skill set, building meaningful client relationships, and contributing to the continued evolution of our fitness offerings. The ideal candidate is energetic, knowledgeable, self-motivated, and passionate about helping clients achieve measurable results.


Key Responsibilities

  

  • Deliver high-quality personal training sessions that are safe, engaging, and tailored to each client's goals, fitness level, and needs.
  • Conduct fitness consultations and assessments to help identify client goals, barriers, and appropriate training recommendations.
  • Design and implement effective exercise programs focused on performance, movement quality, strength, mobility, and overall wellness.
  • Educate clients on fitness principles, healthy habits, basic nutrition concepts, and long-term lifestyle change.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience through professionalism, energy, preparation, and consistent follow-up.
  • Build and maintain a strong client base through self-promotion, networking, referrals, and relationship-building within the fitness center.
  • Track client progress, adjust programs as needed, and help clients stay motivated and accountable.
  • Maintain knowledge of current fitness trends, training techniques, biomechanics, and FX Fitness service offerings.
  • Safely adjust, demonstrate, and operate fitness equipment.
  • Collaborate with managers, teammates, and other departments to support member engagement and overall center success.
  • Uphold FX Well and Texas Health Fitness Centers standards for service, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Requirements

Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Current personal training certification from at least one nationally recognized organization, including but not limited to:
  • American College of Sports Medicine, ACSM
  • American Council on Exercise, ACE
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association, NSCA
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine, NASM
  • Current CPR/AED certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous personal training, coaching, or fitness center experience.
  • Experience conducting fitness consultations or assessments.
  • Knowledge of corrective exercise, strength training, functional movement, or performance-based programming.
  • Experience with client retention, sales, or membership engagement.
