Position Summary

ANSER is seeking a Cyber Workforce Analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role you will focus on on analyzing, developing, and integrating cyber workforce policies, governance, recruitment, retention, and professional development programs into DoD strategic initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and specialized analyses of cyber workforce policies, plans, and processes
  • Support development, revision, and staffing of DoD Directives, Instructions, and other policy issuances
  • Integrate cyber workforce policies, governance, recruitment, retention, and professional development programs into strategic plans and initiatives
  • Review, draft responses, and develop recommendations for the DoD CIO on legislative proposals related to Cyber Excepted Service, Cyber Workforce, and other key CIO initiatives
  • Coordinate policy documents and recommendations with DoD Legislative Affairs, Military Services, and Component stakeholders
  • Provide expertise to inform leadership decisions regarding workforce planning and policy implementation
  • Support assessment and monitoring of workforce program effectiveness
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Facilitate policy updates and ensure compliance with DoD Directives and Instructions
  • Contribute to the planning and analysis of workforce initiatives to enhance cyber capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Public Policy, Human Resources/Organizational Leadership, or related disciples.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber workforce policy, governance, strategy development, or integration of workforce programs within a government or defense organization
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Teams and SharePoint development and management
