For this contract, Team Carney is seeking a high-performing Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to support a client program. Our ISDs are highly motivated individuals whose primary responsibilities are to analyze, design, develop, and maintain instructional content for web-based and/or instructor-led courses and related training products; and nurture, build and sustain strategic client partnerships. 

Key Information:

The position is REMOTE. However, travel may be required to attend a pilot or curriculum review. 
 

 
The Role and Responsibilities: 

  • For ILT courses, conduct ongoing curriculum maintenance, revision, and course evaluation in accordance with government-issued style guides and requirements.
  • For asynchronous elearning courses, conduct course validation study/analysis, design, development, testing, and compliance on LMS, evaluation, and course revisions in accordance with Government-issued style guides and requirements.
  • Apply the ADDIE methodology in accordance with government-issued style guides and requirements. 
  • Collaborate with the client to conduct a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) that identifies competencies, training requirements, goals, learning objectives, topics, instructional strategies, media selection, and training recommendations 
  • Support new development through front-end analysis, training design plans, storyboards, assessments, and course pilots.
  • Develop detailed course design documents that include the course content outline, media treatments, technical specifications, assessment strategy, instructional materials and recommended design approach for the course.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain Kirkpatrick Level I, II, and III evaluations for courses in your prevue.
  • Other support may also include the creation of templates, job aids, process documentation, or supporting tuition assistance program, mandatory training support, or the evaluations team, and reporting progress to leadership monthly or as needed.
  • Ensure eLearning and Instructor-led instructional materials meet 508 compliance standards and all other education and training requirements.
Minimum Qualifications to Succeed:
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a government background check.
  • Minimum of five years of instructional design experience, with both E-learning/traditional design and development..
  • Must have college credits in learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology, instructional design practices, educational evaluation, instructional product development and technology education in training (minimum of 24 credit hours)
  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Proficient in Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Experience working with federal government clients.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Instructional Design

Salary Range for all company positions: $50,125 - $185,650*
*Actual salary is determined by a combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability.
