Maintenance Technician

Amtek, an Associa company, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its condominium community in Alexandria, VA.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.

Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
• Monitor and inspect Boilers, Chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Pay rate: $24-$32 an hour.

• 2+ years of residential maintenance experience.
• Customer service driven and a team collaborator.
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of general maintenance, OSHA worksite, State or local governmental, and personal safety requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.). 
• Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
