Job Summary

The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading the overnight stocking team and supporting all nightly store operations to ensure shelves are stocked, displays are maintained, and the store is prepared for business each day. This position provides leadership, training, and direction to night crew associates while promoting safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, and exceptional store standards. The Night Crew Supervisor works closely with store management to execute operational priorities and achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities Overnight Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate nightly stocking and replenishment activities.
  • Ensure merchandise is accurately stocked according to company merchandising standards.
  • Monitor stocking progress and prioritize workload to meet operational deadlines.
  • Verify that shelves, end caps, and promotional displays are properly stocked and presented.
  • Support execution of store initiatives, seasonal programs, and promotional displays.
Inventory Management
  • Assist with receiving, staging, and stocking merchandise deliveries.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stocking and rotation practices.
  • Identify and address out-of-stock conditions and inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor product handling to minimize damage, shrink, and waste.
  • Ensure backroom organization and efficient product flow to the sales floor.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop night crew associates.
  • Assign nightly tasks and monitor completion of responsibilities.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Provide performance feedback and support associate development.
  • Assist management in maintaining productivity and attendance standards.
Store Standards
  • Ensure aisles, displays, and sales floor areas are maintained according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Verify pricing, signage, and display accuracy as directed.
  • Ensure stocking activities support a positive customer experience.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment such as pallet jacks, stocking carts, and balers.
  • Maintain compliance with company operational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report safety concerns, equipment issues, and operational risks.
Financial Performance
  • Support productivity goals through efficient labor utilization.
  • Assist in controlling shrink, damages, and operational expenses.
  • Monitor department performance and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to overall store sales and operational success through strong execution.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous grocery, retail, stocking, warehouse, or merchandising experience preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Frequently lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver loaded stocking equipment and pallets.
  • Ability to work in various temperature conditions throughout the store.
  • Ability to safely operate stocking and material-handling equipment.
