Senior Civil Project Engineer

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Position Summary:

We are currently searching for a candidate to fill the full-time position of Senior Civil Project Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform engineering of substation and transmission line structures, foundations, and civil grading
Define project parameters; prepare, schedule, coordinate/delegate, and monitor assigned engineering project progress
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
Meet submission & fabrication schedules
Collaborate with and support engineering/drafting teams
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
PE Licensure
Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory
Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience preparing/reviewing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
Experience preparing/reviewing Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure plans (SPCC)
Site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control experience
Knowledge of preparing hydrology and hydraulic calculations
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
Excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving
Ability to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
