Summary
The Human Resources Assistant (HRA) will be responsible for certain aspects of the on-boarding process of new hires and the maintenance of updated employee information as directed. The HRA understands the importance of providing an engaging work environment and is proud of the companies for which he/she works. The HRA is a self- motivator, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to pay attention to meticulous details.
Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Assist with the on-boarding process of new hires as directed
- Assist with maintenance of payroll records utilizing paperless process for complete employee life cycle
- Input updates to renewals of licenses, physicals, DOTD information, and other types of information requiring periodic renewals into ADP Payroll System for tracking
- Work in DISA, order drug tests, maintain drivers’ files
- Assist with open enrollment of employees into benefits package
- Assist with the on-boarding process of new hires as directed
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in human resources
- Strong interpersonal skills in working with employees from various departments
- Knowledge of safety practices, Worker’s Compensation, and basic OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of DISA preferable.
- Analytical, problem solving and long-term planning skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
Technology & Other
- Previous experience with Workmax and/or ADP preferred
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance

Working conditions/Physical Requirements/Travel
The job operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. Occasionally the job will operate in a field environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; see, talk, or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to twenty pounds.
Core days are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but hours are flexible and may extend outside of the core day with primary function being 100% completion of all payroll processing. This position may require occasional weekend and/or holiday work.
