Job Description:

PURPOSE: Full time nursing faculty assume responsibility for the delivery of classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction as well as advising, scholarship and service requirements within ASN programs. This is a 9-month non-tenure track academic position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching in ASN Program (Primary)
Incorporate student learning teaching/learning strategies in classroom and lab/clinical instruction.
Participate in Department of Nursing and University Committees.
Ensure student compliance with health requirements.
Participate in student counseling and advising.
Schedule office hours in compliance with University Policy.
Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical courses.
Develop course schedules and syllabi in compliance with department and University policies.
Exhibits a strong commitment to nursing student success and to LSUA
Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
Follows faculty policies and guidelines in compliance with University and School of Nursing Policy

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in nursing
Two years clinical experience as register nurse
Active Louisiana RN license or Multi-State License
CPR certified with documented health compliance as required of nursing faculty
