We are seeking a Strategic Real Estate Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS), with strategic real estate planning, portfolio analysis, occupancy planning, space utilization, and cost-saving initiatives.

The analyst will evaluate FPS real property and occupancy information and develop recommendations to optimize the Government's real estate portfolio. The role will support analysis of space requirements, consolidation opportunities, utilization improvements, occupancy agreements, and long-term real estate planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze FPS real property, occupancy, lease, and space-utilization information.
  • Evaluate current and projected space requirements and identify opportunities for consolidation, optimization, and cost savings.
  • Support development of long-range real estate and portfolio strategies.
  • Analyze occupancy agreements, leasing information, market conditions, and related financial data.
  • Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations for real estate decisions.
  • Support planning for relocations, reconfigurations, expansions, consolidations, and other portfolio changes.
  • Coordinate with FPS, GSA, landlords, brokers, and other Government and industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare analytical reports, presentations, briefings, and recommendations for Government leadership.
  • Support portfolio-level tracking, forecasting, and decision-support activities.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations regarding space utilization and real estate efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant real estate experience.
  • Active CCIM designation — mandatory.
  • Relevant experience may include federal real property, leasing, occupancy agreements, portfolio management, real estate analysis, space utilization, transaction management, or strategic real estate planning.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with Government stakeholders and support executive-level decision making.
